CV summary:

My research interests are in the fields of pathogenic microbial ecology, food microbiology, water and sanitation, disease control and prevention, vector-microbe interaction, hygiene, biofilm and antibiotic resistance.
I completed my B.Sc. Honors (Botany, Biochemistry and Soil Science, 1987) and M.Sc. (Microbiology, 1989) from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh and PhD (Microbiology, 2002) from Okayama University, Japan. Presently (April, 2003-todate), I am researching for Kansas State University, USA.
I worked for an international research organization (ICDDR, Bangladesh) for 10 years (1988-1997). There I trained many graduate students, researchers, and laboratory personnel.  I set up microbiology/chemistry laboratory for research purposes. I supervised laboratory and field personnel for several projects funded by various international organizations.
I have published over 20 research articles in peer reviewed journals published from USA, Europe and Asia. My research articles are cited by Lancet, PNAS, Nature Reviews,  and many other biomedical journals, books, organizations (WHO, USAID, ASM etc).
